Happy 5th Birthday to Vibe Studios

Vibe Studios is 5! After nearly 10 years of taking classes in community centres and schools, Dance Vibez opened the doors to their very own purpose built dance studios in Cumbernauld 5 years ago.

In that time Dance Vibez has hosted numerous events and big workshops and hundreds of classes in the studios. We have also made so many memories in the past 5 years and once we are allowed to re-open, we plan to make lots more. Check out what some of our students had to say about their time at Dance Vibez.

The last 5 years at DV have been the most influential years for me. There have been so many experiences provided by Laura and Kim and they’re all truly the best. Being a dancer at DV means being pushed to be the best you possibly can be all the time to ensure that you truly are achieving the best of your potential, everyone is always so supportive of everything that everybody does within the school and that’s a really special quality about our Dance School, we don’t just go to Dance and Compete and that’s it, we all truly are a family. My favourite memory within the past 5 years has to be competing at the UDO World Dance Championships representing Scotland in the Supercrew category, our performance was dedicated to Mental Health Awareness and it felt amazing to be apart of something so special – Mackenzie Croly

I have been a member of Dance Vibez for 8 years. I initially enrolled to take part in street dance classes but after a few months I enjoyed the dance styles so much I was given the chance to join the Competition Teams. This gave me many opportunities to go to different places to compete in different competitions. Kim and Laura helped me become more confident and more determined to learn new dance styles as well as all the other teachers and choreographers I have met along the way. Being at Dance Vibez also gave me the opportunity to meet many new people who still to this day are some of my best friends. This dance studio has come together as more of a dance family than a dance school. I have also enjoyed all the amazing fundraising events that Dance Vibez organise for dancers and families to attend. I have recently been privileged to be given the opportunity to help out younger dancers which I find so rewarding. I have many memories however, my favourite memory so far is going to Worlds 2019 in Blackpool this was an amazing experience from start to finish – from the fun travelling down to participating in various categories to supporting other dancers. I look forward to making many more memories with Dance Vibez – Eilidh McDowal
