Dance Vibez CIC is a community-powered organisation based in Cumbernauld, committed to inspiring and empowering young people through dance. With over 17 years of experience running a successful competitive and recreational dance school, we’ve returned with a fresh vision: to break down barriers to dance training and celebrate the richness of street and culturally rooted styles. Our focus is on street dance and culturally relevant dance forms  from house, hip hop and popping, to salsa, Afro, dancehall and commercial fusion. These styles often overlap, blending technique with rhythm, identity, and self-expression. We proudly reflect the cultural diversity of our local area and design our programmes to be inclusive, accessible, and reflective of the communities we serve - particularly ethnic minority families and those with lived experience of poverty or additional support needs (ASN) .We run low-cost and referral-based free classes, school outreach, sensory-friendly sessions, and women-focused community projects, ensuring that dance is open to everyone - no matter their background.At the same time, we are building international links to bring elite-level opportunities back to Scotland. Supported by funders like the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, we are researching top training models in Japan and Asia to strengthen our offering for aspiring young dancers and create meaningful career pathways in the arts.
